These eastern-style lions represent protectors of living things (female with paw on cub) and natural earth (male has paw on sphere representing earth). You see them in front of many buildings, and in China they are very widespread throughout the country. Beautiful sentry statues to enhance your home or building (we can also many other styles of lions, including traditional western poses!). We can carve these in any size from 40" tall (base and lion combined)to 75" (larger, including separate lions without bases - call us) and in many different marble colors. If you are interested in any size or style of marble lions or other other marble statues, for that matter, please call 800-419-1130 for more information. Unlike many of our lions that we stock, these Foo Lions are not a stock item, and you will need to allow 4-5 months for carving, transportation, and delivery. The photos are a 70" tall pair, including the bases, and each lion/base weighs approximately 4200 pounds. Due to their weight, a forklift, loading dock, or crane will be needed at the delivery site.
