This was an unusual project. We've converted many old furnace rooms to useful storage areas, many cedar lined for wool coats, jackets, etc. However, in this one we placed a heavy-duty chrome rod down thru a shelving unit and anchored it is such a way that it acts as the pivot to allow the shelves to be rotated out of the closet for access to the deep space, which we double-poled and cedar lined.
