All drawer interiors made by Closet King are from 1/2" white melamine, fully caulked and finished. We use full-extension, heavy-duty drawer glides, (KV8400's) on all of our projects, and have built 1,000's of custom drawers over the years. No prefabs or cheap looking items! Be sure you anchor these cabinets into solid
studs -
they are extremely heavy when full and if a child
(or anyone else for that matter) opens several of
the drawers at one time, they can easily shift their
center of gravity and fall forward!!
Even empty, this cabinet weighs about 250
pounds
and can easily tip forward if the top 3-4 drawers are
extended! PLEASE anchor prior to
filling, for the
safety of all concerned! To do this, simply remove
the top few drawers and lag-screw into at least 2
wall studs!
