Powerful and fragrant wines are produced in this neighboring region to Pomerol in classic Bordeaux style. The La Faurie was a great success at the March 12th blind sampling of California's Cru Cutters. When the scores were tallied it placed over many wines costing much more, including the 1993 Mouton Rothschild! It was described as a "powerhouse," showing lots of breeding, layers of flavor and densely packed fruit! This wonderful red will sell out quickly!

Good fruit and oak balance. Medium body/concentration. This is one of the hottest categories of reds coming out of Bordeaux giving the wine drinker a tremendous amount of quality for the price. When this wine was tasted on Ed's last trip to France, he immediately knew we wanted it. "High marks across the board."
