Peace Memorial Sculpture

Note: On any memorial and headstone sculptures, we leave all headstone
inscriptions off and they are done by local engravers working directly with the
customer. Our Chinese carvers are master craftsmen of statues...but do not
do inscriptions well (imaging me asking you to carve an inscription in Chinese!)
A brief story behind this beautiful sculpture
Several years ago, I had a call from a woman who had just lost her son in an
auto accident. She emailed me a photo of an old concrete statue that she
had taken in Europe years before, and wanted to know if we could do something
like it for the memorial stone for her son. We only had one front image
photo to work from, and the statue was old and half-covered in green and black
algae. I sent that photo to our master carver, who produced this beautiful
work of art. It took about five months, but when we shipped her this
statue, she called me weeping, saying it was the most beautiful statue she'd
ever seen. I felt bad that it had cost her almost ten thousand dollars to
do, but then she told me that when she was checking around, most companies
wouldn't even try to do it, and the next best bid she had received was over
$25,000. She was thrilled with the work. Needless to say, we do try
our best to give the customers of Wishihadthat value for the money. Feng,
our import manager in China was hired by our company because of his long history
of work in the marble carving field...I think you will be as pleased as this
customer was with our carvings!
