Venus de Milo Torso
The Venus de Milo torso is 24" tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds.
History of this PieceThe Venus de Milo statue was originally carved around 100 B.C. by Alexandros of Antioch. The statue was discovered buried in a niche within the ruins of an ancient city on the Aegean island of Milos in 1820. The original statue, depicting Venus the goddess of love and beauty, was complete but when it was discovered both arms and part of the base were broken. Based on the remains that were found, it is believed that her right arm was originally lowered across her torso and holding the drapery on her left knee. Her left hand held an apple which was raised in front of her. The original Venus de Milo is currently on display at the Louvre in Paris.

In Stock Busts - The marble busts we have in stock ship out within a few days of your order. We provide free shipping within the Continental United States to your home or business. Our busts are delivered in well-built crates for protection; inside delivery and crate removal are not included with the delivery. To order, simply click the "Add to Cart" button and proceed with the checkout. We are also more than happy to assist you over the phone.
Backordered Busts - When busts are not in stock, you may preorder them by giving us a call or ordering online. When you preorder a bust, we charge you a 15% non-refundable deposit for reserving the bust. The balance would be due when the bust arrived to us and is ready to be shipped. When preordering online, please select the option to pay by check when you are going through the checkout process and we will give you a call to arrange the 15% deposit. Timeless Works of Art
Each of our marble busts are carved from solid marble. The white marble is a premium hunan marble which is white with a soft, light gray veining. All of our busts and statues are carved by hand, so each one will be a beautiful and unique piece of art.
For the Home and Garden
Since our busts and statues are carved from solid marble (not cast from bonded marble or any synthetics) they are safe to use outdoors exposed in weather. The weight of the bust will vary depending on the pose and height, but in general the approximate weights are: 20-22" Tall - 80 pounds; 23-24" Tall - 100 pounds; 25-26" tall - 120 pounds; 27-28" tall - 150 pounds; 29-30" tall - 180 pounds.

We can also customize any bust or statue you see on our website, whether its changing sizes or making modifications to the pose we are happy to assist in creating the perfect piece for your home.
